We are seeking multiple graduates to join our Underwriting department as Graduate Pricing Analysts. Our multidisciplinary Underwriting teams, through innovative use of data, are on a mission to provide the right prices to the right customers in a dynamic market, to ensure sustainable growth of the company and good value to our customers, in line with our trading targets.
The Graduate Programme
Alongside the day job, you’ll be enrolled onto our Graduate Programme which is an annual scheme designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of our business. Throughout the year, you’ll have the opportunity to spend time with teams from various areas of the business, with the chance to reflect on each month with key learnings and takeaways. By the end of the programme, you should have an in-depth understanding of how we operate and a comprehensive ‘big picture’ view of our organisation.
Throughout your graduate journey, you’ll have the opportunity to enhance both your technical and personal skills. We provide tailored support to allow you to develop the experience needed to become a well-rounded Pricing Analyst, receiving on-the-job training and mentoring.
Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to engage in impactful projects outside of your primary role, such as supporting local community initiatives or participating in our DEI working group. We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and respectful culture, and your unique perspectives and individuality would bring a valuable contribution.
We 're looking for the following skills:
- A degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths) subject.
- A passion for applying analytics and data science to solve business challenges.
- An ability to understand complex issues and deal with uncertainty.
- A problem-solving mindset and ability to think strategically.
- Effective communication and strong presentation skills.
Our Graduate Pricing Analyst roles are open to candidates with a range of experiences, from graduate to 1 year+ experience. The successful candidate may have some experience with any of the following coding languages, but more importantly a desire to develop your skills on the job; Python, R or SAS.
Successful candidates will have the enthusiasm and ability to work in a dynamic environment and push themselves to become independent problem solvers. They will have a desire to develop programming languages and to use statistics and machine learning in a supportive and innovative environment working alongside experienced Data Scientists and Pricing Analysts.
