About the Role

In this role, you’ll work on all kinds of commercial catering equipment, gas and electrical, as well ware-washing, and possibly refrigeration. This will primarily be repairs and preventative servicing, as well as installations and removals. Diagnosis and fault finding are crucial in this role to carry out effective repairs to keep customers downtime to a minimum.

Key Responsibilities

• Catering equipment maintenance.
• Surveys, installations and commissioning.
• Repairs using diagnostics and fault finding.
• Servicing and safety inspections.
• Produce comprehensive work reports of work carried out.
• Communicate well and collaborate with colleagues.
• Provide a polite and professional service to customers.
• Follow H&S policies to protect yourself, our team, customers and the public.

Qualifications and Skills

• Gas commercial catering qualifications.
• Proven experience working on catering equipment.
• Excellent diagnostics and fault-finding skills.
• Time management and organisational skills.
• A positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both with the team and customers.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing work patterns to meet customer constraints.
• Rational experience and refrigeration qualifications are desirable skills but not required. We could look to sponsor those as part of your development.

Working Hours and Benefits

• Hours: 09:00am to 17:00pm (subject to job demands) with a 30-minute lunch.
• Shifts: door-to-door shifts.
• Overtime: frequently available and all paid at double time.
• Salary: £38,000 to £42,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
• Annual Leave: 31 days, including bank holidays and your birthday.
• Equipment: company-provided specialised tools and equipment, as required.
• Training: encouragement for professional development, specifically Rational.
