About us

UCL’s Organisational Development (OD) department offers extensive learning and career development opportunities to over 16,000 colleagues in academic, research, teaching and professional services. The Learning and Leadership Development (LLD) team is a key part of Organisational Development, responsible for all aspects of learning and leadership development.

This is a new role created within the team to provide partnering services as an expert L&D/OD practitioner. The role provides insight and skills in using a range of OD consulting and diagnostic methods to deliver learning and leadership development solutions within the institution.

About the role

As a Senior OD Consultant, you’ll work with the Digital Operations counterpart and together be responsible for the hands-on delivery of the Learning and Leadership Development offer within the university. You will be leading end-to-end organisation-wide programmes and development initiatives.

Taking the lead on embedding an OD people partnering approach within Learning & Leadership Development, you’ll collaborate with HR and OD colleagues to develop HR/OD interventions to meet emerging organisational requirements.

This is a dynamic and engaging role that combines a focus on people management with strategic oversight. You will be responsible for fostering team capabilities while also shaping and executing a strategic vision, alongside fulfilling key operational duties.

Please note, this is a hybrid role based onsite in our London Kings Cross office 2-days per week including our collaborative working day (Monday) across the department.

We will consider applications to work on a part-time, flexible and job share basis wherever possible.

The advert will close on 30 03 2025 at 23:59 GMT, however we may close applications early if we receive a high volume of applications. Early application submission is recommended.
