Hours of Work: 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm

Job Summary:
Residential Development Surveyor
A fantastic opportunity to work as part of a small, friendly, and extremely busy, Projects Team, managing a wide variety of residentially focused developments.
Under mentoring / supervision of Senior Residential Surveyor and Head of Projects, this role encourages autonomy, flexibility & innovation to enable the successful candidate to get the job done.
Key aspects- but not exclusively limited to :
Desktop evaluation of potential residential refurbishment projects, using the planning portal, Rightmove, Nimbus and other mediums.
Vacant property inspections, looking at potential betterment, condition and works required to bring the property(s) up to the required standard, and whether there are planning possibilities to extend or for new build within external space.
Preparing specification of refurbishment works using Hamways Standard Specification template as a guide.
Prepare measured floor plans using Vectorworks where required.
Monitoring project progress from first instruction through to hand-over for Sale or Let. Keeping close control over time and budget, and dealing confidently on site with building contractors.
Liaising positively and effectively with internal Hamways departments, the wider Group, and external consultants.
Instructing and managing external consultants on speculative planning projects.
Assisting Senior Surveyors, when required, with management of larger development projects.
Maintaining effective digitally based project files, promptly paying invoices, and generally ensuring administration is kept up to date.
