As a Revit Technician you will be responsible for creating and maintaining Revit models, drawings, and associated documentation. A strong understanding of Revit software is essential, along with the ability to thrive both independently and in collaboration with fellow team members.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed Revit models, drawing and other related documents for security and life safety systems.
• Ensuring accuracy and efficiency of Revit models and drawings.
• Assist in the development of Revit standards and best practices.
• Troubleshooting any issues with Revit models.
• Providing technical support to other team members.
• Making basic updates to family objects.
• Producing 2D sheets, working with views, sheets, title blocks.
• Knowledge of BIM360, Navisworks, Excel, DiRoots
• Understand scheduling and shared parameters.
• Experience with federated model coordination, clash detection.
• Auditing and coordinating design models for compliance with BIM execution plans.
• Updating drawing annotation (as built reference, revisions, statuses).
• Validation of redlines, presenting to clients.
• Bluebeam and using mark ups to aid in modelling.
• Knowledge of point cloud scans and the as built process.
• Work to timescales and project deadlines.
• Adhering to specific client protocols.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Revit and other BIM software is essential.
• Previous experience in a relevant position within the security or construction industry.
• Strong understanding of electronic security systems and life safety designs.
• Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings accurately.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
• Attention to detail and a methodical approach to design and problem-solving.
• A relevant qualification in architecture, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
