Role Description

The Dermatologist Consultant will be responsible for the following:

Product Review & Formulation Assessment

• Analyse and evaluate skincare formulations to ensure they meet dermatological standards for safety and effectiveness.
• Provide expert feedback on ingredient selection, compatibility, and potential skin reactions.
• Ensure formulations align with UK regulatory requirements.

Consumer Testing & Focus Group Facilitation

• Oversee and guide the process of consumer testing focus groups.
• Help select suitable participants based on target demographics.
• Provide dermatological insights during the testing phase.

Test Result Analysis & Report Development

• Review feedback and test results from consumer trials.
• Assess product performance, skin compatibility, and efficacy claims.
• Compile a comprehensive report detailing findings, recommendations, and validation of product claims.

Consultation & Ongoing Support

• Serve as the go-to dermatological consultant for product-related inquiries.
• Provide expert guidance on any skin-related concerns that may arise during product testing.
• Offer recommendations for product improvements or refinements.

Key Deliverables

• Detailed evaluation report of product formulations.
• Supervision and facilitation of consumer testing focus groups.
• Comprehensive analysis of consumer testing results with expert recommendations
• Validation report confirming product claims.
• Ongoing dermatological consultation as required.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Dermatology
• Current medical license to practice in the UK
• Experience in cosmetic dermatology, skincare product formulation, or clinical research.
• Strong knowledge of UK skincare regulations and safety standards.
• Experience in conducting or supervising consumer product testing is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical dermatological insights into practical recommendations.
