FTSE Russell has established a platform strategy organisation focused on developing target state Index capabilities to transform the core Index Platforms and scale growth for FTSE Russell.
The Junoir Product Manager - Data & Distribution will report to the Index Platform Strategy - Senior Product Manager - Distribution and will be a stakeholder in the development of the future state FTSE Russell Index Distribution Platform. This role will require the candidate to successfully interact with wide stakeholder group, designing solutions, owning specifications used for development, and ensuring sound execution. They will serve as a bridge between FTSE Russell customers, business stakeholders, other technology capabilities within FTSE Russell and outside FTSE Russell, and the Delivery organisation, they will input into the Data and Distribution roadmap in line with broader Index Platform Strategy and Vision. Critical to the role is a strong Agile and collaborative mindset, working well across many diverse groups and balancing outcomes that help drive capability excellence but also FTSE Russell goals.
Responsibilities
- Defines requirements for new platform, ensuring these are well articulated and understood by technology.
- Delivers against set objectives for data & distribution products with a considerable level of expertise and specialisation.
- Manages own work proactively and other’s accordingly and as directed by senior colleagues to meet overall objectives.
- Monitor and report on product performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct research to understand market trends, customer needs and competitive offerings in the index and financial data space.
- Seeks the expansion / improvement of existing products, establishing the business case for product enhancements.
- Ensures client engagement, communicates roadmaps to the client community and is responsible for feedback
- Works as a cross-functional team member to ensure dependencies for product delivery are met and participates in product testing and validation efforts.
- Ensure that all data products and distribution channels comply with regulatory requirements and maintain the highest standards.

Profile/Skills
- Knowledge of market data, security reference data, primarily equities, bonds, mortgages, etc., security pricing, FX and interest rates, corporate actions, company/issuer reference data and industry classification and company fundamentals.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in product ownership / technology / business analysis / operations / application delivery in banking or financial domain.
- Exposure to how data is used within indexes and/or how indexes and index data are used by financial institutions (Fund, Portfolio or Wealth Management)
- Exposure to Agile delivery
