Anderson Knight is currently partnering a leading uk, end-to-end mechanical, electrical and civil engineering services business based in Glasgow.

The overall purpose of the role is to ensure that the Quality and Environmental processes and procedures within the business and its supply base are effectively deployed & compliant with U.K regulations, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO 1090 and Achilles Verify standards across all sites / locations.

The role requires direct line management duties covering Quality and Environment along with the responsibility for acting as the primary client interface relating to all Quality and Environmental joint initiatives, supporting their HSEQ Director in strategic plans for Quality and Environmental improvement plans and deliverables.

The key focus of the role is to:

• Lead, influence and support the business streams to become process driven, with compliance at the core.
• Positively influence quality and environmental culture and performance within executive and operational areas across the business.
• Support the deployment of our quality and environmental management systems and work closely with the operational teams to identify key environmental risks and hazards alongside the development of controls and mitigation strategies.

Quality:

• Delivering the strategy and provide advice, support and guidance on all aspects of quality
• Successfully lead and develop your team, acting as a role model promoting a positive culture by creating an interest and enthusiasm for good quality in all activities
• Onboarding and training new team members
• Ensure Compliance with ISO accreditation and BS requirements = ISO9001 and BS1090
• Developing internal audit programme and drive audit and inspection schedule for compliance assurance across all locations
• Develop, Implement & Monitor business processes and ensure periodic Quality Control checks
• Working together with department heads to develop solutions to quality issues
• Implementing schedule of relevant site / office inspections & collate corresponding KPI’s, statistics & trends
• Satisfying client expectations regarding business service delivery whilst ensuring Intelligent Quality methodology knowledge, understanding and adherence at site locations.
• Creating quality standards / processes for new or existing products or services to guarantee quality

• Devising strategies to meet targets and to encourage best practice
• Devising the best tools and systems to monitor performance and to implement strategies
• Successfully lead and develop your team, acting as a role model promoting a positive culture by creating an interest and enthusiasm for good quality in all activities
• Ensuring compliance with environmental legislation
• Ensuring Environmental licence compliance e.g. waste carriers, discharge consent
• Ensuring Compliance with ISO accreditation requirements = ISO 14001
• Managing environmental strategy budgets

About You

• Working knowledge of UK Environmental legislation.
• ISO9001, ISO14001 management system standards knowledge and experience.
• Internal auditor qualification.
• Demonstrable experience in auditing, implementing improvement activities and building a positive culture within a business.
• Valid UK driving license.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £62,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
