About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Product Marketing & Development Manager to join our dynamic team. This role will lead and drive product and market development initiatives for Weld-On in Europe. This role owns the (1) identification of value chains by application segment, (2) development of product and positioning proposals to expand Weld-On’s opportunities, and (3) administrating the set-up of new customers through product support and set-up. The role will work closely with marketing, sales, and both current and potential customers.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in product marketing, channel development, and sales enablement. A track record of identifying market needs through field and customer engagement that leads to focused product and marketing efforts that drive product adoption is required. The right person will have experience in VOC driven value-based messaging and differentiated positioning. She/he will be able to create sales support and marcom materials to support the messaging and positioning to show customers the path to success with Weld-On. They will also have product management experience in driving requirements and commercialization activities for new products to meet market requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be the company expert in European market dynamics, competitors, and influencers through in-field research, VOC and value chain mapping
- Identify winning value propositions that show customers how to succeed with Weld-On
- Develop compelling presentations and marketing materials to drive preference and action
- Provide product requirements and lead commercialization activities for European products
- Support on-going relationships with key industry influencers, distributors and partners
- Represent Weld-On at tradeshows, customer events, and industry conferences
- Conduct installation, product and expert trainings online and in-field as needed
The position will be based in Europe with preference for candidates based in UK, Netherlands, France or Spain. Up to 35% travel is required (primarily in Europe).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years in product marketing and/or market development
- Demonstrated ability to map markets and create product and marketing proposals
- Expert in messaging, presentation development, and marketing materials
- Experience in managing consumer products, industrial products, or packaged goods (solvent cements and/or construction adhesives is a highly desirable)
- Experience in industries related to plumbing, irrigation, pool or industrial chemical products
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing, or another related field
