As part of our huge success with Robotic Automation in the AgriTech arena, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Remote Field Service Engineer to join our innovative team. The successful candidate will help to boost our continued growth and act as a key member of staff who, while working alone, will attend customer call outs and perform routine servicing and will collaborate with other Field Engineers on installations.
The ideal candidate should be a highly motivated problem solver and be able to work on their own initiative. As a self-starter you will work with the Team and Contractor Manager to plan and manage your time efficiently.
You will be results orientated and driven to deliver excellent service. No two days are the same and you will be expected to be adaptable and use your experience to the fullest. We will be looking for someone who can take pride in their work and will push themselves to achieve the highest quality outcomes.
Developing strong relationships with the Field Operations team as well as with our customers will be essential to successfully filling the role. Working remotely from the team, communication will be key to ensuring you contribute to achieving the companies business goals and ensuring are customers feel valued and are happy with the service.
Undertaking the role of Remote Field Service Engineer, you will be based from your own home and will attend clients’ sites as required to install, service and repair our equipment.
Candidates should be located in and around the Shropshire/Cheshire area.
Comprehensive training on our products will be given at our training facility in Bellshill, Scotland. Further manufacturer specific training will be provided as required.
What will you be doing as our Field Service Engineer?
- Your primary role is in the build, installation, service, repair and support of our products
- Ensure high levels of client service
- Out of hours support calls as part of an on-call rota
- To always present a professional image, whether by telephone, in writing or in person.
- Timely reporting of progress or delays to Field Operations Manager
- Timely completion and submission of risk assessments, work reports, activity reports, site tasks and all other documentation as required
To be considered for interview:
- A formal engineering qualification OR HNC/HND level education OR 2 years field service experience.
- Experience of electrical installation (Qualified with 18th Edition would be an advantage). PASMA and IPAF would also be desirable
- Adaptable with your tools as well as having strong computer literacy
- Quick, logical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
- Organised and with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Enjoy delivering a great customer experience
- Full UK drivers’ licence
- Willing to travel the UK and on occasion internationally

As part of the interview process you will be expected to join a first stage teams video call and a second face to face at our offices in Bellshill, Scotland. As part of stage two, you will be asked to undertake a practical wiring and tool use test.
