Our recruitment team has been recognized as winners at the Home Care Awards 2025 for Recruitment, Retention, and Staff Motivation, and we are looking to expand our team with a dedicated Recruitment Consultant.

Role Overview
As an integral part of our recruitment team, you will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and selecting high-quality candidates to join our care team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring we continue to provide top-tier care for our clients by hiring carers who meet our rigorous standards and values. You will also ensure all recruitment activities adhere to CQC regulation 19 for fit and proper persons employed.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Pre-screening & Shortlisting: Conduct phone screenings with candidates, assessing their qualifications, skills, and suitability for the role.
  • Sourcing Applicants : Use job boards, social media, and other recruitment platforms to attract potential candidates.
  • Video Interviews : Conduct and assess video interviews to evaluate candidates’ competency and experience.
  • Interview Panels : Participate in decision-making during the interview process and collaborate with hiring managers to select the right candidates.
  • Employment History : Review and document gaps in employment, reasons for leaving previous roles, and gather a comprehensive work history.
  • CQC Compliance : Adhere to CQC regulation 19, ensuring that all candidates meet the “fit and proper person” criteria for employment.
  • Application Review : Screen and review job application forms to ensure they meet the company’s standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration with Other Teams : Work closely with the compliance, admin, and training teams to ensure the smooth induction and onboarding of new carers.

Desirable Experience:

  • Previous recruitment experience, preferably in the care industry.
  • Familiarity with right to work and DBS checks.
  • Understanding of CQC regulations and their application in recruitment processes.

Essential Experience and Qualities:

  • Compassionate and caring nature with the ability to build strong relationships with candidates.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Strong team player who works well with others and contributes to a positive work environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to assess candidates on their competency and suitability for their role.
  • Adherence to high standards of compliance and regulatory requirements, particularly CQC regulation 19 for fit and proper persons employed.
