The purpose of the position
We are seeking a highly motivated and driven Teaching and Learning Manger to maintain and grow our high level of teaching standards across the business. This role is fundamental in the growth plan of the business by ensuring that our Tutors deliver a high-quality teaching and learning experience for all our learners as they complete our wide range of construction courses. Reporting into the Head of Quality and Compliance this role will ensure we support and develop our tutors with professional growth whilst at the same time ensuring we are compliant with current and future educational frameworks
Principle duties and responsibilities:
- Regular planning and completion of lesson observations
- Providing feedback to tutors, Curriculum Leads and Department Leads on the quality of teaching and learning
- Identifying additional training needs for the tutor team
- Writing and delivering of training programmes to support high quality teaching craft
- Working with the People team to arrange tutor enrolment onto teaching qualification and external training programmes
- Supporting Department Leads with feedback to inform PDRs.
- Providing feedback on quality of teaching and learning to inform SAR and QIP
- Maintaining and reviewing the policies and procedures relating to teaching and learning
- Writing of and overseeing effectiveness of Mentoring Programmes and Tutor onboarding
- Design and deliver training programmes on the practical delivery of construction lessons
Desired Skills and Experience
- Ability to write and deliver construction training-related teaching programmes
- Strong communication skills
- Strong observation report writing skills
- Good Computer Skills (MS Office)
- Ability to plan and execute lesson observations of 30+ tutors across multiple delivery locations throughout the UK
Personal Requirements/Qualifications
- Higher level teaching qualification (equivalent to L5 of above)
- 2 - 5 years of teaching experience
- Previous experience in completing lesson observations (ideally in similar role)
- Previous experience in construction or relevant industry
- Has a good understanding of the Ofsted Inspection Framework
- Excellent personable skills
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Flexible approach to work with frequent travel to our centres across the country
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £45,000.00-£50,000.00 per day
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
