Role Summary

The position holder will lead all market access and policy activities for Autolus in the UK. The Market Access & Policy Director UK, will manage the relationships with all relevant national and regional payers and policy bodies to maximize the market access opportunities for Autolus Ltd.

Autolus is looking for an experienced and seasoned market access leader with a track record of successfully shaping health policy and working with specialist commissioners in the UK to deliver market access for ATMPs in Oncology and Haematology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working cross-functional, including, HEOR, Sales and Marketing, and Medical Affairs
  • Monitoring the Health Care & Industry environment and UK payer CAR T & Cell therapy landscape including competition
  • The execution, monitoring and follow up of account funding and hospital payment
  • To connect with local budget holders, hospital pharmacist and medical controllers pre-launch as part of local key account team to deliver formulary inclusion and NICE implementation
  • Analysing clinical and medical data as well as literature for Autolus products to support market access planning
  • Supporting the price negotiations and contracting approach from its preparation to the listing in the end of a launch price setting in collaboration with Global pricing
  • Identifying, and working with stakeholders critical for various HTA submissions and reimbursement and leading the adaptation of the value proposition for the UK and policy context and its audience
  • Adapt and localize payer materials for (sub-national) payers & communicate clinical and economic value proposition to payers
  • Develop policy scenarios, options an actions plans for Autolus in the UK
  • Build partnerships with policymakers, KOLs and PAG for Access and industry topics
  • Provide input into corporate policy thinking
  • Connect and maintain relationship and management of key external business partners

Demonstrated skills and competencies

Experience

  • Strong technical reading, writing and verbal communication skills
  • Presentation and strong research experience with Market Access customers
  • Experience in Market Access and Policy and haematology/oncology therapeutic area is highly preferred
  • Significant industry experience, specifically in Market Access and Policy.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in the life sciences (Bsc, PharmD, PhD) or dual degree in related scientific field
