Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled IT Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in systems engineering and a passion for developing and maintaining robust IT infrastructures. This role involves working with various operating systems, server environments, and cloud technologies to ensure optimal performance and reliability of our systems.
Duties
- Design, implement, and manage IT systems and infrastructure to support business operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and improve existing systems.
- Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Monitor system performance and conduct regular updates to ensure security and efficiency.
- Implement DevOps practices to streamline development processes and enhance collaboration between development and operations teams.
- Work with databases including PostgreSQL and NoSQL solutions to manage data effectively.
- Utilise cloud services such as AWS for scalable infrastructure solutions.
Skills
- Proficiency in various operating systems including UNIX.
- Strong programming skills in C for system-level applications.
- Experience with server management and configuration.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL databases and NoSQL technologies.
- Knowledge of AWS cloud services for deploying scalable applications.
- Understanding of systems engineering principles to optimise IT solutions.
- Experience with Pegasystems is advantageous but not essential.
- Familiarity with DevOps methodologies to enhance system deployment processes.
