Purpose
To be responsible for the artwork and typesetting of Steelite International’s marketing material and to provide design work for projects as directed by the Senior Graphic Designer & Marketing Manager, working within existing corporate brand guidelines, ensuring consistent application of the brand(s).
Note: In addition to these functions employees are required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required.
Nature and Scope
Reporting to the Senior Graphic Designer, the Graphic Designer is part of the Marketing department.
The position requires the Graphic Designer to be based at the Orme Street site with the flexibility to travel within the UK and overseas as appropriate to support the needs of the business.
The specific demands of the role are described through the principal accountabilities outlined in this role description. The expected key competencies and key performance indicators for the effective execution of the role are also outlined in this document.
Principal Accountabilities
- Adhere to corporate brand guidelines
- Design and create literature and periodic trends pieces to support markets as required.
- Have a good understanding of print and be able to take a job through to print ready artwork.
- Design and create presentations and media for sales and other departments of the business.
- Create social media and web graphics to deliver a consistent corporate online presence.
- Handle image requests that come into the department.
- Manage content on distributor and marketing portals (i.e. Dropbox) ensuring it is up to date with new product introductions and rationalisation.
- Create graphical video content as required.
- When required, travel with the Marketing department to trade shows, helping with setup, knockdown, and any other requirements as fit.
