In a nutshell, we need a Graphic Designer with excellent design skills and is ready to roll up their sleeves supporting our Head of Creative who leads the design over locations. You will be serving up supercharged designs and concepts for our teams on-site, along with other branding and ad-hoc requests that come our way. This person will be able to create and deliver exciting artwork through all techniques of visual communication (digital, print, video,) and most importantly, is able to make a valuable impact with their ideas, their personality and their individual style.

Day-to-day duties include thinking outside of the bread bin when it comes to design. Someone who’s an Adobe guru (we’re talking AI, PSD, IDD, AF), but not afraid of working with most designers Achilles heel - PowerPoint! We need someone who can take control of a brief and design a solution that reflects our clients’ individual needs. We are looking for someone who can keep things spicy, challenge our creative thinking and produce mouth wateringly good designs.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

No one day is the same for our team of creatives, but we can guarantee one thing: this role will allow you to work with a great bunch of people. Each member of the team is obsessed with food, fuelling great designs, and supporting stakeholders and clients across BaxterStorey.

Working for the Head of Creative, the Graphic Designer will:

  • Artwork and design all types of materials across brand and marketing. This can vary from digital and physical signage, menus, banners, reports, and presentations, to much more, ensuring all work is completed to the highest of standards and on time.
  • Ensure the brand experience at each location is consistent and branding is spot-on across all customer touchpoints.
  • Be an ambassador of the BaxterStorey brand at each location.
  • Support the creative strategy at each location and work closely with marketing managers and account directors to align creative vision with location branding and marketing.
  • Work with senior stakeholders to develop our on-site brand identities.
  • Create point-of-sale marketing for multiple locations. This includes designing menus, posters, digital signage, seasonal promotions, and flyers, plus digital and social media assets.
  • Have copywriting and marketing abilities to support in creating marketing materials, with excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills.
  • With the support of our Head Office team, support the rollout of monthly and annual marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Head Office Creative team and other creatives across the business to share best practices and bring specific areas of expertise to support the overall team.
  • Constantly find new ways of re-imagining our marketing designs across all locations.
  • Keep up to date with the latest artwork, design trends, techniques, and software.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to manage workflow.
  • Have a clear passion for current food trends and business requirements.
  • Create animated assets for our websites, social media, and marketing for clients.

KNOWLEDGE

  • Excellent designer with at least 3 years design experience in a similar role
  • A brand champion
  • Obsessed about creating great POS marketing
  • Experience in designing food and beverage campaigns and brand identities
  • A total foodie, who is excited by the food industry
  • Experience working with marketing admin portals such as Bynder would be beneficial
  • Great knowledge of our brand, our competitors, and other F&B businesses

WHAT 'S IN IT FOR YOU?

  • You’ll be based between our London office and 2 of our client locations, with ad-hoc travel.

Qualifications

SKILLS

  • Excellent skills in Adobe Creative Suite (IDD, AI, PSD, AF)
  • After Effects preferred
  • Graphic Design degree or similar
  • Excellent understanding of good design principles
  • Good knowledge of PowerPoint and competent in Microsoft Office
  • Able to work under pressure and work to multiple deadlines
  • Able to work simultaneously (to jump between projects if needed)
  • Copywriting ability preferred
  • Comfortable consulting and presenting to senior management and clients
  • Able to communicate and present effective ideas and designs to stakeholders
