Role Information
We are looking for an experienced, commercially focussed Marketing director who will support implement and drive LCG’s marketing strategy that will influence sales to support in our next period of growth.
To succeed in this role you need to excel at expanding the company’s marketing presence and increasing revenue. The role requires a deep understanding of different marketing efforts, including scaling efforts to drive customer acquisition, as well as analytical thinking and communication. You will need to be able to analyse data to formulate an expansion strategy and then identify which marketing initiatives will best achieve that expansion
You’ll be required on-site at our Durham HQ 3 days a week. The role attracts a competitive base salary with a 30% bonus plus equity.
DUTIES
- Collaborate with leadership to create and execute a comprehensive growth sales and marketing plan that aligns with Learning Curve Group’s overall business goals
- Developing and optimising paid acquisition campaigns to drive customer acquisition
- Responsible for identifying and monitoring key performance metrics, such as customer acquisition cost and user engagement, in order to optimise marketing efforts and drive growth.
- Able to work cross-functionally to align marketing efforts with broader business goals.
- Lead digital marketing efforts, including online campaigns, social media strategy, and digital content creation to enhance brand presence and generate leads
- Utilise analytics to monitor market trends, customer behaviours, and campaign performance, adjusting or creating strategies to optimise revenue outcomes.
- Work closely with product development, operations, and finance teams to ensure alignment and support for revenue-generating activities
- Lead on branding, events, and PR Comms activity including building strategic relationships for the group
- Conduct your role in line with the company values and expected behaviours

- Provide learners, customers and colleagues with support, advice, and guidance as part of your everyday role

Essentia Criteria
EXPERIENCE
Over 10 years of experience in sales, marketing, and revenue growth strategies, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
Proven experience in integrating sales and digital marketing functions to drive revenue.
Strong track record in customer acquisition and retention, and optimising customer journeys.
Demonstrated success in leading digital marketing initiatives, including content creation, paid advertising, SEO, and social media strategy
Experience with data analytics to guide decision-making and enhance performance
Knowledge of the education and training sector is an advantage
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Expertise in creating and implementing growth strategies aligned with business objectives
Strong knowledge of digital marketing tools and platforms, including but not limited to Google Ads, SEO, social media, and content management
Technical proficiency in CRM systems and their role in driving business growth
Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a cross-functional team
Proven ability to develop and implement comprehensive revenue growth strategies that align with business goals
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions to optimize performance and maximize ROI
Knowledge of the education and training sector is a plus
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or other advanced qualification is preferred
Relevant certifications in digital marketing or sales leadership are a plus (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot, or similar)
