We are looking for a Field Application Specialist to join our BioAnalytics team.
Do you have a Ph.D. in cell biology or a related discipline paired with research experience? Are you looking to leave the lab and use your scientific knowledge and strong communication skills in a commercial role?
If so, this is a great opportunity for a Field Application Specialist to join the BioAnalytics business unit that provides a range of high-end laboratory equipment. You will be responsible for providing technical support and advice to a range of clients across the biopharma industry and academia, ensuring that we maintain strong customer relationships and provide the best possible service. Your remit will cover iQue - Flow Cytometer.
Your territory will focus on UK, with occasional traveling to Nordics and BE-NE-LUX region. You would ideally be located close to an international airport and ideally living close by the Golden - Triangle, Oxford, London or Cambridge, as the largest customers are in this area.
The team consists of 3 professionals, and we are looking forward to shaping the future with you.
Grow with us - Your Responsibilities
- Planning and executing iQue product demonstrations in close collaboration with sales colleagues
- Conducting onsite post-sales training and assisting with experimental design of new assays
- Delivering pre-sales seminars for new customers
- Proactively engaging with existing customers to identify training needs
- Responding to existing customers in a timely manner to answer questions, troubleshoot application issues and introduce solutions
- Collecting feedback from customers to support development
- Maintaining high knowledge of the portfolio |instruments, software and reagents
What will convince us
- Ph.D. in cell biology or related disciplines
- Previous research lab experience is essential, field experience in a similar role or experience in a customer support role would be advantageous
- Previous experience in cell culture, flow cytometry is required, experience in automated equipment is a plus
- Strong customer focus with great communication skills
- Highly organised and capable of planning own schedule
- Team player, able to interact with people across different functions internationally, whilst being comfortable working independent
- Willingness to travel up to 70%, primarily within the UK, but also including trips to the Nordics and the Benelux region.
