The Job
Healthcare Matters Delivers a first-class service to NHS Trusts, Local Authorities, Care Homes, and Private Customers.
As part of the Healthcare Matters team you will be tasked with, covering North Wales, Cheshire, and the surrounding areas. The role will involve servicing, maintaining, and repairing a range of medical devices, including profiling beds, specialist mattresses, and patient lifting equipment.
Healthcare Matters specialises in the installation of Specialist Seating, Ceiling Track Hoists, Stairlifts, Modular Ramps, and Bathroom Adaptations, providing safe and accessible solutions to enhance mobility and independence.
As part of the role, you will participate in the On-Call rota alongside eight other engineers, ensuring our service operates seamlessly 24/7.
Your daily duties will include:
- Perform servicing, maintenance, testing, repairs, and installations of equipment while ensuring compliance with all regulations and medical device alerts.
- Complete all necessary certificates and documentation accurately.
- Operate independently as a lone worker or collaborate as part of a team when required.
- The role will involve supporting Installation Engineers in a fitter’s mate capacity, with a view for further training based on performance.
- Carry out work both inside service users’ private properties and occasionally in outdoor settings.
- Work closely with colleagues and managers to enhance processes and improve the quality of service we provide.
The Individual
You should possess excellent communication skills and empathy. While technical experience and proficiency are required, industry-specific knowledge is not necessary, as full training will be provided.
You will be a team player with a strong desire to provide excellent service to our customers, always striving to improve both our processes and the quality of our work. You will be humble, positive, and take pride in making a meaningful difference in people’s lives while embracing continuous learning and improvement.
All individuals will be Advanced DBS checked. A full driving license is required and driving license checks will be completed periodically.
The starting salary is £26,000 with an OTE of up to estimated £30,000 via overtime.
This is a field-based role, with our headquarters located in Wrexham.
