The Opportunity
As a Product Specialist you will drive the product strategy and development of BrightTax to increase revenue, profit, and customer retention while optimising costs. Run and maintain competitive advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the product strategy and roadmap to create impactful solutions that resonate with customers and drive measurable outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date and maintain a strong understanding of the Tax software market, identifying competitive trends and new growth opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with customers through research and feedback to design products that truly meet their needs.
- Build and manage relationships with teams across Engineering, Sales, Support, and Partners,fostering collaboration and mutual success.
- Partner with engineering teams to guide product direction and prioritise features that maximise customer value.
- Monitor and analyse product performance metrics, including NPS and P&L, to continuously improve and celebrate success.
Key Deliverables
- 12-month product roadmap with prioritised features and business cases
- Market and competitor analysis reports
- Customer research insights and requirements documentation
- Go-to-market execution plans
- Regular stakeholder communications and progress updates
- Product performance tracking and optimisation
The Person:
- 3+ years of experience in product specialist or related role
- Degree in Business, Economics or Finance (preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience with product lifecycle management
- Proficiency with business analysis tools and documentation
- Experience of UK Tax software is a bonus rather than essential
- Experience in similar product category
- Proven track record with successful product launches
- Ability to effectively manage stakeholder relationships, promoting collaboration and mutual success.
