Since opening in 1992, Cattle Country Farm Park has become one of Gloucestershire’s largest tourist attractions, welcoming over 130,000 visitors per year. We pride ourselves on our cafe Graze which serves freshly prepared, seasonal food to our visitors. Alongside Cattle Country is The Barn at Berkeley, our wedding and events venue. Our kitchen team are required to work across both kitchens as required.
We are looking for experienced kitchen staff to join our team. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a diverse hospitality and leisure business, so it will suit someone with previous experience in a similar or relevant kitchen where quality food and customer service must always be delivered, especially on busy days.
Duties will include
- Preparation of all items on our menu
- Leading the Graze kitchen team on days where our Executive Chef is at The Barn at Berkeley
- Ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the GRAZE kitchen, providing an excellent experience for all of our visitors
- Maintaining strict hygiene standards and ensure that all Food Safety requirements are met
- Provide support for The Barn at Berkeley kitchen team when required
Job Requirements
- A broad range of relevant skills gained in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- A passion for cooking and an interest in using fresh, local produce
- Previous experience of leading a team during food service
- A great communicator; liaising with our Front of House and kitchen staff
- A friendly, calm and confident manner, especially when the cafe is busy
- A flexible approach and able to work additional hours when required
This is a part time role working 3 days a week with more shifts available during school holidays and busy event periods.
This position would be suitable for someone looking for a fixed term contract or permanent position and the rate of pay will depend on experience, and full training will be given to the successful candidate.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From £14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 - 40 per week
