IT Technician - Level 2/3 - Join Our Growing Team at Protec Services!

Job Overview:

This is a permanent, full-time position offering 5 days a week, Monday to Friday, between 8am - 6pm. Approximately 42 hours a week. Occasional travel away from home may be required, and you will also be included in the call-out/remote support rota.

A full UK driving license is preferred as you will need to visit client premises. A company van will be provided for day-to-day duties. We are still happy to accept applications from people who don’t currently hold a full licence and can reliably commute to our premises in Louth daily.

Salary is competitive and based on experience, with an expected range of £25K - £30K, negotiable dependent on your skills and qualifications.

We offer 28 days holiday, including bank holidays with 2 additional days over the Christmas period when the business shuts down for up to 2 weeks.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience working in a similar IT support environment or a service desk role. You will have a solid understanding of IT systems, network infrastructure, and troubleshooting techniques, and be able to apply your knowledge in a variety of technical situations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Visit client premises to install and service a variety of network infrastructures (business and residential).
• Provide IT support for systems including MS Office, Exchange, DNS, DHCP, domain management, virtual servers, routers, Wi-Fi, switches, and firewalls.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to IT devices and SIP/VOIP phone networks.
• Perform cable and network fault finding to ensure smooth operations and connectivity.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and network issues, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
