🔎 As the NHS Business Development Lead you will

The NHS Business Development Lead role is to manage and coach the NHS business development team with responsibility for the team’s 25/26 £multimillion ARR target. This role will be coaching the team to; build relationships with NHS stakeholders, engaging in sales activities, helping to develop the commercial strategy, and identifying market opportunities

Key Responsibilities

  • New Business Growth - overseeing strategies and securing new NHS contracts, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall commercial strategy.
  • People Management - responsible for a team of 5 direct reports and coaching them to exceed performance targets.
  • Collaboration - working with internal teams, including Marketing, Product NHS Account Management and NHS Transformation, to ensure targets are met.
  • Team Support & Development - help in executing strategic sales plans to engage NHS Trusts, ICSs, and other key NHS bodies.
  • Data & Reporting - presenting to the Commercial Director on sales performance, pipeline, and revenue forecasts, as well as being accountable for Hubspot integrity and reporting.

Requirements

☑️ We want to hear from you if you

  • Are experienced in managing and coaching high-performing sales teams in a high growth start up
  • Have a proven track record delivering a minimum of £2m in revenue in NHS business development, sales leadership, or consultative selling in SaaS, healthcare, or consulting.
  • Possess a deep understanding of NHS procurement frameworks, funding models, and decision-making processes.
  • Are able to develop strategic sales approaches and close high-value deals, through strong commercial acumen.
  • Have experience developing and implementing long-term sales strategies that deliver measurable outcomes, both individually and for your team.
  • Comfortable in owning the team’s forecast and delivery.
