Digital PR Specialist
at New NewsAbout the job
Role: Freelance Digital PR Specialist
Location: Remote (UAE focus preferred)
Rate: Project-based or monthly retainer, based on results
We’re building a new kind of digital PR agency – one focused on data-driven storytelling that earns high-authority media coverage and reputable backlinks.
We’re looking for a freelance digital PR strategist who knows how to turn raw data into headlines. The ideal person has a journalist’s instinct for what gets published, not just a marketer’s eye for SEO. You should love finding angles in unexpected places, pitching stories that actually land, and thinking in headlines, not hashtags. This role would suit someone who’s worked in a newsroom, a high-performing PR agency, or has experience placing stories in tier-1 publications. You’re self-directed, fast, and allergic to fluff. If you’re passionate about storytelling, pop culture, and the mechanics of media, and want to work on stories that appear in places like Forbes, Business Insider, and Arabian Business, this is your chance.
Requirements
We’re looking for someone who can:
- Develop creative, media-worthy angles from data and trend research
- Write and pitch compelling press releases and email copy
- Secure placements in tier-1 and tier-2 publications (UAE + global)
- Work autonomously and deliver results, not just effort
- Can cover 6-8 stories per month
Bonus if you:
- Have experience in the UAE/GCC media landscape
- Are a former journalist or have worked in a digital PR agency
- Understand how PR intersects with SEO and link-building
If you’re great at turning boring data into headlines, let’s talk.
Benefits
- Flexible hours and the freedom to work remotely, paid on a per-campaign basis
- Training and expertise in cutting edge digital PR techniques
- The opportunity to be part of a brand-new, talented team working on something new
