A house like no other. After an extensive period of restoration, this exclusive use, 16th century townhouse has been transformed into a luxurious wedding and events venue.
Artemis are looking for a passionate Event Manager based at Pelham House. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, have a passion for good food and service, be calm under pressure and be able to work in a small team. Experience in weddings and conferences, 100+ covers, fine dining and event bars, together with a strong background in food led establishments.
Duties
- Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of events including corporate functions, weddings, and fundraising activities.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and requirements for each event.
- Manage budgets and negotiate contracts with vendors such as caterers, decorators, and entertainment providers.
- Supervise event staff to ensure high standards of guest services and hospitality are maintained.
- Develop timelines and checklists to ensure all aspects of the event are organised efficiently.
- Implement upselling strategies to enhance guest experiences while maximising revenue opportunities.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in event management or a related field within the hospitality industry, such as restaurants or hotels.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with clients and vendors.
- Experience in fundraising events is advantageous but not essential.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
