Job Summary:
Our client seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Gastroenterology to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality gastroenterology services, contributing to service development, and supporting the education and training of junior doctors and healthcare professionals.

Essential Requirements:

• Evidence of entry on the GMC Specialist Register or within six months of attaining CCT in Gastroenterology at the time of interview.
• Experience in General Medicine ward cover.
• Extensive expertise in diagnosis, management, and treatment of gastrointestinal disorders.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert clinical care in gastroenterology outpatient and inpatient services.
• Perform endoscopic procedures , including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
• Contribute to acute and general medicine ward cover.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with specialists in surgery, oncology, and radiology.
• Engage in teaching, training, and supervision of junior doctors and medical students.
• Support clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, and service development.

Desirable Attributes:

• Subspecialty expertise in Hepatology, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, or Advanced Endoscopy.
• Experience in research, clinical trials, or service development.
• Leadership experience in service management or quality improvement projects.
