About the Opportunity: Firetech (UK) Ltd is an ambitious passive fire protection specialist based in Manchester. We’re seeking an enthusiastic and driven Quantity Surveyor who is ready to take ownership of commercial management, actively driving commercial decisions and strategies, and elevating their career within a growing and supportive company.

The Role: As a Quantity Surveyor at Firetech, you will have full ownership and responsibility for managing commercial aspects across all projects, reporting directly to the Managing Director. This position is an in-person role, based at our offices at Clippers Quay, Salford Quays, with regular site visits required. Your responsibilities will include:

• Commercial management and monthly valuations of all projects
• Reviewing and finalising accounts
• Monitoring and analysing operative productivity
• Reviewing contracts, purchase orders, and payment notifications
• Completing and filing self-billing agreements, remittances, and VAT receipts
• Developing and refining commercial processes and procedures
• Conducting regular site visits
• Assisting the estimating team to price variations
• Maintaining and building strong client relationships through clear communication

About You: You will be proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented, demonstrating initiative, ownership, and innovative thinking. Excellent communication skills, teamwork, and commercial awareness are key.

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

• Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience within the construction industry
• Proficiency in Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite
• UK Driving Licence

Desirable:

• Experience with Xero Accounting software (training provided if necessary)
