About the role:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Engineer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates, early-career professionals, recent apprentices, or individuals with a strong interest in pursuing a career in engineering to gain valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic environment. The Junior Engineer will provide essential support to our global team by managing daily technical inquiries, delivering timely updates, and escalating issues as necessary. Additionally, they will actively participate in product lifecycle activities, including testing, assembly, and fault-finding. We are looking for a candidate with a natural curiosity and a demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical skills.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to and manage daily technical inquiries from our global team, ensuring prompt and accurate resolutions.
- Provide clear and concise updates on issue status and progress.
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior engineers for further investigation.
- Maintain accurate records of inquiries, resolutions, and escalations.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of knowledge base articles and FAQs.
- Conduct testing and validation of products according to established procedures.
- Perform assembly and disassembly of products for testing and analysis.
- Conduct fault-finding and troubleshooting to identify and resolve product defects.
- Document testing results and findings accurately.
- Assist in the development and implementation of testing protocols.
- Assist in the maintenance of testing equipment and component inventory.
- Collaborate effectively with senior engineers and team members to achieve project objectives.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to problem-solving and brainstorming sessions.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or related field), equivalent practical experience, completion of an engineering apprenticeship, or a demonstrated strong interest and aptitude for engineering.
- A natural curiosity and a proven ability to learn and apply technical skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- A proactive and detail-oriented approach.
- Basic understanding of engineering principles and practices.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Basic experience with testing equipment and tools is a plus.
- Experience supporting global teams is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £27,349.00-£30,000.00 per year
