Butchery Manager

J Jones is a local butchers and delicatessens are now recruiting for a Butchery Manager to become part of the family.
The key attributes that we are looking for is someone who is friendly and confident with attention to detail who can engage with our local loyal customer base and has a passion for top quality food.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to specifications.
- Ensure all meat products are stored properly and adhere to food safety regulations.
- Work as a team to ensure high standards are met within timescales
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the butchery area, including tools and equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about meat cuts and preparation methods.
QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:
- Previous experience as a butcher or in a similar role within a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cutting techniques.
- A passion for food production and commitment to delivering high-quality products.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Full clean drivers license is preferred
This is a permanent (full time) role working - 40 hours per week
£ 14.00 per hour dependent on age and level of experience
This role requires proof of Eligibility to work in the UK
