The successful candidate will be somebody that is passionate about the product and understands the need and systems to produce it within a regulated environment.

Main Responsibilities will include:

• Production of high-quality cheese - this includes hands-on all aspects of production-handling milk, curds, moulding, pressing, affinage, packaging and despatch.
• Co-ordination with farm Operations Manager and Dairy Manager.
• Leadership of the team in the achievement of the expectations laid out in the Specialist Cheesemakers Association Code of Best Practice.
• Responsibility for maintaining health and safety, accident prevention and accident reporting as required by national legislation.
• Management of HACCP and subsequent documentation and record-keeping.
• Developing partnerships with customers and participate in promotional and marketing activities.
