Overview:
We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our Talented team at our renowned Gastro Pub in Irthington, Carlisle. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and exceptional leadership skills to assist the Head Chef in delivering high-quality dishes.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in food preparation, cooking, and presentation
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
  • Supervise kitchen staff and provide guidance as needed
  • Contribute to menu planning and development
  • Maintain stock levels and order supplies when necessary
  • Oversee food production to ensure timely service
  • Help create a positive work environment for kitchen staff
  • Uphold high standards of quality, cleanliness, and organisation in the kitchen

Skills:

  • Proficient in food safety practices and regulations
  • Strong experience in food preparation and kitchen operations
  • Previous experience in a busy restaurant environment
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences
