Social Expresso is looking for a positive hard working individual to join our team on a zero hour contract basis to help deliver the best coffee barista service for our ever growing client base.

As a Driver and event assistant, you will be responsible for transporting goods, passengers, or materials safely and efficiently, in accordance with company policies and local traffic laws.

You will be expected to ensure that vehicles are maintained and clean. Your role will directly contribute to the satisfaction of our clients and the smooth operation of our business. The job also consists of setting up and packing down our coffee bars. A helpful attitude, patient and presentable appearance is a must as you will be representing the company

Key Responsibilities

Drive assigned vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods, passengers, or materials to designated locations.

Ensure all deliveries/pick-ups are completed within agreed timeframes.

Perform routine checks of the vehicle (fuel levels, tires, brakes, etc.) to ensure it is in good working condition.

Adhere to traffic laws, safety standards, and company policies at all times.

Communicate effectively with management and customers when necessary, ensuring a high standard of service.

Load and unload items, ensuring items are secured and transported safely.

Keep the vehicle clean and organized, both inside and outside.

Work flexibly as part of the team, providing support during busy periods or as needed.

Must

Must be 25 yeast of age or over (for insurance) with a valid UK driving license and a clean driving record.

Proven experience as a driver in a long wheelbase van.

Ability to navigate using GPS and maps.

Strong time management and organisational skills.

Excellent communication skills and a customer oriented approach.

Flexibility and adaptability to work varying hours and days.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical ability to load and unload items.

Positive can do attitude Knowledge of safety regulations and road traffic laws.

Access to a reliable mobile phone and email for communication purposes.

This role is offered on a 0-hour contract basis, meaning there are no guaranteed hours. You will be contacted as required based on the company’s needs. Availability to work flexible hours, potentially including mornings, evenings or weekends

Pay: £13.85 per hour
