Accounts Manager

Location: Oswestry

Salary: £30,000 - £36,0000 Dependent on experience, plus attractive benefits

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (with 1-hour lunch)

This senior role will see you managing a diverse portfolio of clients, guiding and mentoring a dedicated team, and providing high-quality accountancy and tax services. Your professional growth will be supported through structured CPD, training opportunities, and clear career progression pathways.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Review and finalise accounts prepared by your team
• Oversee the preparation of tax computations and returns (self-assessment, corporation tax, VAT, CGT)
• Client relationship management, including proactive advice on tax efficiency and business improvements
• Ensure compliance with deadlines and quality standards
• Mentor, supervise, and support junior team members
• Participate actively in business development opportunities

Who We’re Looking For:

• ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience, with at least two years in a managerial role within an accountancy practice
• Strong experience reviewing accounts for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, and charities
• Proficient in personal, corporate, and capital gains taxation
• Exceptional organisational skills, with an ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Current driving licence
