Location: Coast Kitchen-Bar-Terrace, Hayle, Cornwall
Salary: £35,000 + Tips + Bonuses
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Permanent (Annualised Hours - 1740 per year)
Please Note: Live-in accommodation is NOT available.

We’re looking for a passionate, hands-on Head Chef (or ambitious Sous Chef) to lead our kitchen, develop seasonal menus , and create unforgettable dining experiences. You’ll oversee a small, dedicated team , ensuring top-quality food, great teamwork, and a smooth-running kitchen - all while enjoying a relaxed coastal lifestyle.

What You 'll Be Doing
- Cooking & Creating - Design Spring/Summer & Autumn/Winter menus, plus event specials.
- Leading the Kitchen - Manage a team of 2-5 chefs , keeping service smooth and efficient.
- Stock & Suppliers - Keep the kitchen well-stocked while minimizing waste.
- Rotas & Staffing - Plan shifts with our easy online staff management system.
- Hygiene & Safety - Keep Coast’s kitchen running to the highest food safety standards.
What We 're Looking For
✔ A passionate, creative chef with strong leadership skills.
✔ Experience as a Head or Sous Chef in a high-paced kitchen.
✔ Knowledge of stock control & waste reduction - keep it fresh and efficient!
✔ A positive, can-do attitude - teamwork makes the dream work!
Nice-to-Have Extras (But Not Deal Breakers)
- Hospitality or customer service experience.
- First Aid, COSHH, or Food Safety Level 3 (we can help with training).
Your Work-Life Balance
Busy Summer (Up to 60 hrs/week) - Keep up with the holiday rush!
