Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Outpatient Senior Staff Nurse to join our dynamic team. You will play a vital role in patient care, assisting in minor procedures, managing wound care, and supporting seamless clinical operations. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to supervise and mentor junior staff, ensuring adherence to the highest clinical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in an outpatient setting
  • Assist consultants during minor procedures and medical examinations
  • Perform phlebotomy and cannulation when required
  • Manage wound care and provide appropriate treatments
  • Serve as a chaperone to support patient comfort and safety
  • Supervise and mentor junior nursing staff, acting as a role model
  • Ensure compliance with CQC standards and infection control protocols
  • Participate in clinical audits to enhance patient care and service delivery
  • Deputise for the Clinic Sister in their absence
  • Support the department both clinically and operationally to ensure excellent patient outcomes

What We 're Looking For:

  • Registered Nurse (NMC) with evidence of continuous professional development
  • Minimum of 3-5 years ’ experience in an outpatient setting
  • Strong knowledge of CQC standards and responsibilities
  • Experience with phlebotomy, cannulation, and minor surgical procedures
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to independently prioritize workload and manage time efficiently
  • Previous supervisory or mentorship experience (preferred)
  • Experience in wound care and surgical wound management

Additional Skills & Competencies:

  • Clinical expertise across multiple specialties, such as ENT, Dermatology, Plastics, Orthopaedics, and Gynaecology
  • Problem-solving, customer service orientation, and reliability
  • Competent in conducting clinical audits

Pay: £43,557.00-£47,777.00 per year
