We have partnered with a locally owned and forward-thinking software business who are keen to add a Power BI Developer to their team. This role can either suit an experienced Power BI professional or someone with strong data experience looking to move into such a role.

The purpose of this role is to create datasets, reports and dashboards based on their piece of software. Working within a software team this role will manage data, assist with migrations and create usable and viable datasets having discussed requirements and ideas from clients.

Key duties:

  • Determine the requirements for reports and dashboards.
  • Merge various requirements into standardised datasets.
  • Ensure datasets follow a consistent methodology.
  • Produce high-quality documentation.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify challenges and future-proof datasets.
  • Work collaboratively to understand customer and business needs.
  • Break down epics into user stories, working with technology teams to establish acceptance criteria.
  • Assist clients in migrating, organizing, cleansing, and transferring their data to company platforms.
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog effectively.
  • Work with UX/UI designers to conceptualize and prototype new products and features.
  • Share product and feature insights with other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with technical writers to produce comprehensive documentation.
  • Contribute to shaping the product vision and roadmap.
  • Review and approve user stories for implementation.
  • Define and outline non-functional requirements.

Candidates should ideally have a good Power BI experience including Dax & Power Query. A strong data background and SQL experience are beneficial.
