Support Worker 29.75 Hours Per Week

I am a fun and bubbly 23-year-old young lady with cerebral palsy, and I live with my lovely family. I need help with every aspect of my life and you will work on a 1:1 basis with me and at other times with my parents in the family home, community and on holiday. Training and supervision will be provided.

Rota

Week 1 = 28.5 hours

  • Tuesday 6.00pm - Wednesday 8.30am = 14.5 hours
  • Friday 6.00pm - Saturday 8.00am = 14.0 hours

Week 2 = 31.0 hours

  • Monday 9.30am - Monday 4.30pm = 7.0 hours
  • Saturday 8.00am - Sunday 8.00am = 24.0 hours

Week 1 is 28.5 hours + Week 2 is 31.0 hours = 59.5 hours.

59.5 hours divided by 2 weeks = 29.75 hours average per week.

Location

Dronfield, Derbyshire, S18 postcode area.

Salary

  • £16.00 per hour weekdays.
  • £18.00 per hour weekends.

Brief Job Description

You will be required to:

  • Provide support in all aspects of daily living.
  • Motivate and encourage participation in a range of recreational pursuits.
  • Provide support to understand the world and promote positive relationships.
  • Deliver personal care.
  • Administer medication.
  • Drive the wheelchair accessible vehicle to allow access to the community.
  • Undertake any other appropriate and reasonable task in relation to the employment as agreed with the family and case manager.

Person Specification

  • A fun outlook and motivational attitude are essential.
  • Patience, enthusiasm, maturity and professionalism are required.
  • Previous experience of working within the care sector.
  • Full U.K. driving licence.
  • You must be flexibility as the working hours are based on a rota.
  • Non-smokers only.
  • The position is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
