The Alnwick Garden is an award-winning visitor attraction in the North East, as well as being a popular destination for weddings, social occasions and corporate events with our stunning Pavilion and Treehouse both available for private and corporate hire.

We are looking to recruit a Wedding & Events Co-ordinator to join our team to provide our customers with exemplary delivery of their event with excellent customer service. Attention to detail is paramount and maintaining high standards at all times.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintain the highest level of customer service and satisfaction at all levels of interaction
  • Attend wedding fairs and events on behalf of The Alnwick Garden, showcasing professionality at these events as well as assist with wedding fayres/open days for the venue to gain more business.
  • Assist in the organisation and conducting of full show rounds of the wedding venues to potential wedding couples.
  • Assist management of events diary and bookings.
  • Assist in creating sales from the show rounds and enquiries, meeting set targets and succeeding sales goals
  • Ask questions to understand customer requirements and close sales.
  • Build and develop relationships with booked clients both in person and via email and telephone.
  • Assist when applicable to organise meetings with the couples to help understand requirements and to discuss details for their wedding on an ongoing basis for the Food & Beverage team to run it successfully on the day.
  • Complete the administrative processes for each wedding/event to ensure everything goes to plan.
  • Liaise and work with operations team in lead up to and on event days to ensure a seamless experience is delivered.
  • Having the skill set to negotiate if required and deal with all different types of cliental.
  • Assist with the upsell of extra services and add-ons where appropriate.
  • To undertake other duties within the business from time to time to support the business objectives and values
  • Stay up-to-date with new products and features

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.76 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
