CNC Recruitment is seeking for a Despatch Operative for our client in Beaminster area – a well-established and global FMCG business. Our client is dedicated to producing high-quality products with a commitment to sustainability and responsible sourcing.

Job Role

Responsible for dispatching goods safely and accurately while ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed correctly.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday

Job Type : Temp to perm, permanent after 12 weeks

Hours: 7:00 am to 7:00 pm

Pay : £12.05 an hour, increasing from 1st April 2025 [weekly pay through CNC Recruitment]

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the correct picking, packing, and labelling of products for dispatch.
  • Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
  • Complete all relevant documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts (if licensed).
  • Work closely with the warehouse and production teams to meet targets.
  • Always ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet required standards.

Requirements

Key Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written skills in English due to Health and Safety requirements.

Technical Skills/Knowledge:

  • FLT license (desirable).
  • HACCP training (internal/external).
  • Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and ability to manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to meet departmental goals.

Education and Training:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Manufacturing Operations.
  • FLT qualification/experience preferable but not essential [on site training is provided]
  • Level 2 Maths and English.

Experience:

  • Background in food manufacturing.
  • Experience in production or warehousing environments.

Relevant Business Issues / Developments:

  • Compliance with BRC and Organic Certification Standards.
  • Adherence to all Health and Safety requirements.
