Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working closely with the customer to prepare detailed estimates, and collaborating with suppliers & sub-contractors to ensure accuracy and efficiency in project planning. This role is crucial in helping our company maintain competitive pricing and high-quality standards.

Duties

• Review customer enquiries, identifying good opportunities and working with the team to develop strategy for winning and developing the account.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labour, and equipment.
• Collaborate with production and technical team, suppliers and sub-contractors to gather necessary information for estimates.
• Prepare timely, accurate and professional customer quotations.
• Maintain accurate records on company ERP system.
• Maintain contact with potential customers throughout the process, seeking feedback and making appropriate adjustments.
• Manage all live opportunities, ensuring regular contact with the potential customer to bring about conversion to order.

Experience

• Proven experience as an Estimator/Engineering in a relevant industry (manufacturing etc.) is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy and ability to work to deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and estimation/manufacturing software is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information clearly.
• Self-motivated and proactive with a high level of initiative and a willingness to take responsibility and resolve issues.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £28,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
