Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Office Administrator to join our team as maternity cover (Fixed-Term 15 months). The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of the office, and providing support to various departments. This role requires strong computer skills, excellent phone etiquette, and some knowledge within the construction sector.
Responsibilities
- Respond to customer and supplier queries and identify solutions
- Produce & send quotes using our configurator
- Greet occasional visitors and direct them to the appropriate person
- Manage office & factory inventory and place orders as required
- Respond to social media / WhatsApp enquiries
- Assist with social media advertisement & brochure development
- Assist with bookkeeping tasks using Xero and Dext software
- Liaise with website developers
- Liaise with staff, managers & clients to ensure the above tasks are completed effectively.
The above is not an exhaustive list of duties, and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the company and the overall objectives of the business.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in an administrative role or similar position is preferred.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Proficient in computer applications.
- Excellent data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong phone etiquette with effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail is essential for maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- A background in the construction industry is desirable.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Pay: £23,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
