The Speedy Legal and Company Secretarial department are looking for an interim Assistant Company Secretary (maternity cover) to join their team based in Haydock. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong organisational and communication skills who is looking to gain experience in a fast-paced, professional environment.
Monday to Friday - Hybrid (1-2 days in office) - Haydock - 08:30 - 17:00
The role is to act as principal assistant to the General Counsel and Company Secretary - dealing with the full range of corporate and commercial legal and Company Secretarial matters. This role will suit a corporate/commercial lawyer who is keen to develop and progress their legal career in-house and as a company secretary with a well-established UK FTSE listed PLC.
The Ideal Candidate
- Strong academics.
- A solicitor qualified to practice in England and Wales with an up-to-date practice certificate.
- Proven and successful track record in a corporate and commercial legal role.
- Experience of providing or advising in respect of Company secretarial and UK Listing Rules/Corporate Governance Code matters for a UK FTSE listed PLC is desirable.
- ICSA qualification is desirable.
- Highly self-motivated, disciplined, enthusiastic, resilient and personable.
- Client focused, commercially minded and pragmatic.
- Detail oriented with good time management and organisational skills.
- PC literate with good MS Office skills.
- Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy - Decade to Deliver
