Salary: Up to £80,000 per year plus benefits (Depending on experience)

Location: Manchester

Term: Full Time & Permanent (Remote / Hybrid)

Rota: Monday - Friday | 9am - 5pm

Our client, a prominent accountancy firm in Manchester and Liverpool, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Tax Director to lead their corporate tax division. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with a wide range of clients and drive the growth of the firm’s corporate tax services.

Duties & Responsibilities

As a Tax Associate in an accountancy practice environment you will carry out the following duties:

• Lead and manage the corporate tax team, ensuring excellent service delivery to a diverse client base.
• Develop and implement strategic tax initiatives that align with clients’ business goals.
• Provide expert advice on complex tax matters, including mergers, acquisitions, and international tax issues.
• Oversee the preparation and review of corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with current tax regulations.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, becoming their trusted advisor on all corporate tax matters.
• Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and growth.
• Stay current with tax legislation and industry trends to offer clients informed and up-to-date advice.

Essential Criteria

• ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified with extensive experience in corporate tax.
• Minimum of 5 years post qualified Tax accountancy specialism in a UK accountancy practice
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero, IRIS and Tax sofware
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Strong technical expertise in tax advisory, compliance, and corporate tax strategy.
• Excellent reporting skills
• Confidently able to offer recommendations and advice to our clients.
• Highly competent with outstanding commercial acumen and a solid grasp of business aims and objective
• Demonstrable experience and a proven track record in a similar role
• Previous experience of working with clients in the agricultural sector preferred
• A full UK driving licence is essential
