Main Responsibilities
As a valued member of the Operose Health team, your key duties will include:
- To manage multiple cross cutting and high priority projects in support of: Growth priorities e.g. mergers and acquisitions, APMS contract mobilisation and contract demobilisation when required , implementation of new digital and technology solutions and changes to the way we work and deliver operational services as well as procurement led changes as we routinely review non pay expenditure and ensure we gain value for money from our contracts.
- Supporting the development of bids/tenders from qualification through to submission.
- Coordinating the acquisition journey from due diligence, through to formally signing a business transfer agreement prior to completion.
- Project managing the integration of new contracts and practices into the Operose Health family.
- To coordinate project teams comprising internal organizational stakeholders e.g. SLT leads or subject matter experts to plan, manage and deliver changes, including, establish project objectives and scope, delegating work to team members. Develop overall project plans including timelines, budget, and resources. Capture interdependencies to resolve prioritization / competing task issues. Identify project critical paths. Ensure adequate risk management. Monitor and report on project progress taking corrective action where necessary and project evaluations and results measurement.
- To routinely undertake lessons learnt exercises to make sure we are continuously improving the way we plan, deliver and embed changes.
The Ideal Candidate
What we look for in new colleagues:
Project management
- Excellent project management skills that project plans are developed, communicated and monitored
- Knowledge of project management processes. Qualification such as Prince2 desirable.
- Preparing and maintaining appropriate project documentation
- A strong grasp of detail and a commitment to producing accurate information to deadlines, and to ensure others do the same; including ability to manage changing priorities.
- Must be comfortable working on a number of projects at the same time.
- Excellent oral and written communication, including influencing skills.
Working effectively
- Able to manage complexity with an ability to simplify when working with stakeholders.
- Able to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Able to effectively organise own workload and work independently. Taking a flexible approach, prioritising own workload and under own initiative.
- Able to work collaboratively with staff at all levels (e.g. patients, clinicians, directors and colleagues) and with external stakeholders, to achieve results and be committed to teamwork.
Managing complexity
- Able to resolve technical / complex issues and proactively anticipate problems.
- Must have the ability to reach sound judgments and decisions when dealing with often complex issues and operating in highly pressured situations.
Commercial development
- Demonstrate commercial acumen.
- Experience in supporting bid writing / bid development.
Knowledge and skills
- Master use of tools effectively (Power Point, Word, Excel) to clearly present and communicate project reports.
- Experience of working in healthcare environment is desirable but not essential.
- Willing to travel, if required.
