CNC Recruitment is currently seeking a Stores Operative for our prestigious client in Yeovil, a globally recognized aerospace engineering service provider.

Job Type : Temp to perm (Permanent position after 16 weeks)
Pay : £12.50 per hour
Working Hours : Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and Friday, 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM (with 2 breaks)

Purpose of the Role :
As a Stores Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of warehouse materials, goods, and products to support business operations and meet customer demand.

Key Responsibilities :

• Receive deliveries of goods and supplies
• Kitting jobs to meet specific requirements
• Inspect goods for any damage or missing items
• Appropriately store materials and products
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch
• Load goods for shipment
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to production lines in line with production schedules
• Input inventory and stock data into a computerized system
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date stock records
• Perform stock counts as required
• Ensure all associated paperwork is kept current

Requirements

• Previous experience in warehouse operations or a similar stores role
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in using computerized systems for stock management
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Forklift license (desirable but not essential)
