Schooner Taverns Ltd is a small business in the North Devon village of Mortehoe, near Woolacombe, EX34 7DT. We are professional, rewarding and supportive.

Qualities Required:

• Bar experience in a fast-paced environment
• Strong hospitality skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
• Knowledge of food safety standards and practices
• Basic math skills for handling sales and giving change
• Time management abilities to efficiently handle multiple tasks
• Previous restaurant experience preferred

Our customers comprise mostly of families on holiday so patience and the ability to deal politely and pleasantly with a variety of enquiries is essential.

Training will be given on our tills and any other systems or processes needed for you to do your job.

Duties include:

• Welcoming and greeting customers
• Serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to customers
• Serving food to customers
• Responding to customer enquiries, referring to Management where necessary.
• Taking payments by cash and credit cards.
• Retrieving, storing, and accounting for stock items.
• Keeping the bar and customer areas clean and tidy at all times

A free cooked meal is provided during your shift along with unlimited free soft drinks, tea and coffee.

Additional meals are available at a discounted rate while working.

The pay rate is £13 per hour.

Please note this position is seasonal and expected to finish at the end of October this year.
