Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse specialising in Anaesthetics and Recovery to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and comfort of patients undergoing surgical procedures. This position requires a deep understanding of anaesthetic practices, patient care, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Alliance are seeking Anaesthetic & Recovery Nurses for the following specialties to support on waiting list initiative sessions at a location in Scotland:

  • ENT
  • Urology
  • Gynaecology
  • General Surgery

Duties

  • Ensuring the environment / equipment is safe
  • Checking equipment is in place and ensuring it is working
  • Preparing drugs to make available for anaesthetist
  • Assisting anaesthetist with intubation, cannulation, line insertion
  • Assembling and making ready equipment for IVI, monitoring, catheterisation, warming
  • Caring for patient from check into theatre until admission to PACU.
  • Monitoring local anaesthetic cases.Collaborate with surgeons and other medical staff to develop anaesthetic plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Conduct pre-operative assessments to evaluate patient health status and identify any potential risks.
  • Provide post-operative care, including monitoring recovery from anaesthesia and managing any complications.
  • Maintain accurate records of anaesthetic administration and patient responses.
  • Educate patients and their families about the anaesthetic process, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.

Skills

  • Registered nurse with NMC pin
  • Minimum of 1 years expereince in this setting as well as currently working in this setting.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong critical thinking skills for assessing patient conditions and making informed decisions quickly.
  • A compassionate approach towards patient care, ensuring comfort and support during procedures.

This role is an excellent opportunity for Registered Nurses looking to specialise in Anaesthetics and Recovery within a supportive and professional environment. This role is to support the delivery of waiting list initiative sessions at a location in Scotland and will be on a self employed basis.

Job Types: Temporary, Fixed term contract

Pay: £350.00 per day
