Salary – £12.50 per hour

The working hours for this role will be Monday - Friday 9am - 2pm.

Job Purpose:

The Hut’ is a busy operation offering a food service to around 300 staff and visitors, including hospitality. The Catering Assistant will be responsible for serving on the counter, ensuring that all Catering areas are cleaned and maintained to a high standard – stocked and they are also required to assist with the service of food and beverages throughout the building.
Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the setting up service counters, serving food and clear down (including Washing Up and General Tidy away of Equipment) of area afterwards within the ‘The Hut ‘and adjoining areas including Hospitality
• Assist with the cleaning of all crockery, cutlery and service utensils when required.
• Ensure the highest possible standards of presentation by ensuring that displays, fixtures, fittings and premises are maintained in accordance with the Daily Routine
• Contribute towards the delivery of hospitality and events around site including the set-up, service and clear down as required
• Maintain standards of safety and hygiene per legislation and other statutory requirements
• On Occasion, overtime will be requested to assist with in-house holiday / sickness cover and any hospitality events taking place

• Experience working within a customer focused environment
• Passion for working within the Catering and Hospitality industry
• Excellent communication skills to enable effective dialogue with colleagues, staff & Visitors
• Organised and self-motivated
• Able to perform well and remain professional whilst under pressure
• Dedicated team-player
• Displays a smart and professional appearance, representing ‘The Hut ‘in a positive manner

The working hours for this role will be Monday - Friday 9am - 2pm. Please be aware that overtime will be required on an ad-hoc basis for events, holiday coverage, and other needs.
