Senior Copywriter at Historic Newspapers

What we do at Historic Newspapers

At Historic Newspapers, we are proud custodians of the world’s largest collection of privately owned ORIGINAL newspapers. A truly unique gifting option, we have papers available for 99% of dates over the last 100+ years. Having such a unique and comprehensive archive has also allowed us to create a range of exciting Newspaper Book products. These collections of newspaper reproductions make wonderful birthday, anniversary or special date presents.

We work with a large range of newspapers in the UK and US to design and develop an
unparalleled range of personalised newspaper gifts.

Historic Newspapers is now part of Wonderbly

Wonderbly is an award-winning personalised children’s publisher, and the Children’s Publisher of the Year 2021. It all started in 2013 with a story called Lost My Name. And now, we’ve sold over six million books in nine languages all over the world, helping to make story time more magical for lots and lots of children (and their grown-ups).

A bit about the role:

You’ll collaborate closely with our Creative Director, as well as the creative and marketing teams, on a variety of exciting projects. Your work will include crafting engaging product entries, attention-grabbing headlines for brand campaigns, and compelling editorial content for our books.

Taking briefs from the marketing and web teams to work on them as a team or individually.

Presenting written concepts to stakeholders and taking away feedback to continuously improve.

  • Creating captivating copy for the web and marketing teams.
  • Researching and writing pages of editorial for our special interest newspaper books
  • Ensuring that all the copy presented by Historic newspapers is consistent and follows our tone of voice guidelines
