Direct Medics Healthcare Recruitment are seeking a compassionate and skilled Band 7 Community Dietitian to join the community dietetic team covering both West and Central Lancashire Eating Disorders Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an an enthusiastic, friendly and confident Dietitian to provide non-judgmental, timely support for eating disorders for all ages.

Contract is up to 3 months initially with hours negotiable up to full time (Monday –Friday, 9am-5pm). Salary from £46,148 a year per annum pro rata.

In this role, you will:

Provide a high quality, evidence based up to date nutrition and dietetic service to community services, with the focus on providing dietetic support to young people and adults with eating disorders.

Undertake a full and comprehensive dietetic assessment of patients with highly complex presentations using advanced clinical reasoning skills and dietetic assessment techniques.

Assess the individual physical, psychological and emotional needs of the patient and work in conjunction with other professionals to deliver appropriate care.

Travelling to required community sites to provide high standard of Dietetic care.

Requirements

• Honours Degree or equivalent in Nutrition and Dietetics approved by the BDA/Health Professions Council.
• Health Professions Council Registered Dietitian.
• Evidence of relevant post graduate specialist clinical education at post graduate level or equivalent and /or equivalent experience.
• Advanced clinical knowledge relevant to the care environment and evidence of evidence-based practice in relevant health setting - to have some eating disorder experience essential.
• Full Valid UK Drivers License and Access to own Car
• Right to Work in the UK
